Setting up a portal

In the centre:
THE USERS

  • Users are the central actors of the portal.
  • They can be imported or register themselves.
  • Users can then fill out their profile, match with other users or groups, browse the portal’s content and, of course, create new content themselves.
  • Users can have different permissions.
  • There is no upper limit for the number of users on your portal.

Getting together:
GROUPS & PROJECTS

  • Users come together in groups to communicate and work together. They have access to a variety of tools↓ to select which will be displayed together on the group dashboard.
  • All groups have a Microsite, through which members can communicate to the outside world who they are and what they do.
  • Groups are self-managed by its members. You can have an unlimited number of members. Likewise, a user can be a member of as many groups as they want. The number of groups on the portal is also unlimited.
  • Groups can contain projects . A project has the same functions as a group and therefore functions like a sub-group. By nesting groups and projects, organizational structures can be mapped in the portal.

All united:
THE COMMUNITY

  • In addition to collaboration in groups and projects, our portals also enable users to network, obtain information and make their own activities visible.
  • In the Forum all users of the portal are united. Here they can share news and events with each other or exchange knowledge and experience.
  • On the Map , the portal's groups and projects are displayed, and depending on the visibility settings, the user profiles are also displayed. Here, users can search through the content and filter by topic to find out about exciting activities and to make contact.
  • Optionally, users can also use a matching tool with which they can find like-minded users or groups and projects.

We would be happy to show you the structure and functions of our community portal upon request personally in a video call. But you can also test it on your own at wechange.de.

wechange.de is one of more than 20 community portals that we operate. Unlike the other portals, however, wechange.de does not operate on behalf of an organization or municipality, but rather we ourselves as a cooperative offer the platform directly and freely accessible to end users.

You can register for free on wechange.de to register and then a Create group. You can then invite your colleagues to the group to test the collaboration tools together. Or take a look at the Map, which other groups and projects there are in your area or on your topics on wechange.de.

Most functions of our community portals you can test it immediately on wechange.de. We will be happy to activate the few exceptions for you, if you let us know.

  • In an initial workshop, we will discuss your goals and together determine your requirements for the portal.
  • Before the launch, we will provide you with a test system on which you can try everything out and express requests for changes.
  • We train you on how to best support your community. We also offer training for your users.

  • So that you don't have to worry about installing and maintaining the software yourself, we offer you our cloud hosting - GDPR compliant, with green electricity, at fair prices.
  • We are constantly developing the software, closing security gaps and keeping your portal up to date with regular updates.
  • If something still doesn't work, our support team is here to help you.

Feature development

  • As standard, we adapt our white label portals to your needs and design specifications.
  • Additionally, individual extensions are possible. Just talk to us.
  • Thanks to our interfaces, the integration of third-party systems is also possible, e.g. via Single Sign On.

Our pricing model

Pay only for what you need

The costs for a community portal consist of one-time setup costs and monthly costs for hosting, support and updates. The amount of these two costs depends on which tools are integrated into your portal. If you do not need Nextcloud, Rocket.Chat, BigBlueButton, a WordPress landing page or the iOS and Android app, the costs are reduced.

Grow as much as you want

The costs depend not on how many users, groups or projects your portal has. All of this is basically unlimited. So you can scale without stopping without incurring additional costs.

Benefit from the feature development of others

We are constantly developing or integrating new functions at the request of our portal partners. If a portal partner commissions and finances such a feature development, everyone benefits. We then activate the new function on all other portals - if requested. This solidarity approach means that all portals are constantly improving.
