Our portals can do a whole lot - no wonder, with the power of open source. Instead of reinventing the wheel, we integrate powerful open source tools into our portals. We show solidarity: if we develop or integrate a new feature at the request of a portal partner, all other partners also benefit from it. So if you are missing a function, feel free to contact us.
Our community portals can do a lot. If you don't need individual features, we can switch them off on your portal. If you are missing something, we also offer to develop or integrate new features. Just talk to us.

Do you have any questions? Or are you missing a function?
We would be happy to talk to you about it in a video call.
With Nextcloud, we have integrated what is probably the best open source software for storing, sharing and editing files into our community portals. The functions include full-text search, file and folder sharing (also for external users), synchronisation with local directories (WebDAV), comments, versioning, activity logs and synchronous real-time editing of files in the browser (see Collabora↓).
Each community portal is linked to its own Nextcloud instance, which we host ourselves. All data therefore remains on our servers. The groups and projects on the portal each have a group folder in Nextcloud. Thanks to single sign-on, all users automatically have a Nextcloud account, so they don't have to log in separately.

Our Nextcloud servers↑ are equipped with Collabora. The extension enables users to edit files directly in the browser. When several users edit a file at the same time, changes are synchronised in real time. Documents (.odt, .docx) as well as tables (.ods, .xlsx) and presentations (.odp, .pptx) can be created and edited. As Collabora is related to LibreOffice, the leading open source office suite, the editor has numerous functions for every file type.

By integrating the multi-channel messenger Rocket.Chat, users can communicate with each other in their groups or in private chats - via browser, desktop client or mobile app. Functions such as threads, conversations, mentions, reactions and full-text searches enable clear, effective and organised communication, even in large teams.
Each community portal is linked to its own Rocket.Chat server, which we host ourselves. The groups and projects on the portal each have a private channel in Rocket.Chat, whereby the members are automatically synchronised. Thanks to Single Sign On, all users automatically have a Rocket.Chat account, so they do not have to register separately.

With BigBlueButton, users can hold secure, high-quality video conferences on your portal. Features include screen sharing, collaborative whiteboards, external guests, recordings, phone dial-in, breakout rooms, rights management, meeting and private chats, shared notes, polls and virtual backgrounds. The servers are hosted by us in Germany in compliance with the GDPR. Thanks to single sign-on, users do not have to log in separately, but can join a room directly via the group dashboard.
For larger events such as conferences or general meetings, we also offer a digital conference centre that complements the functions of BigBlueButton in a conference environment.

First impressions count. With a landing page, you offer visitors an easy introduction to your portal. Even without registering, interested parties can use the page to find out about the background, functions, target group and you as the provider of the portal. To give a foretaste, selected portal content such as the map or public events can already be displayed directly here. The aim of the landing page is to be findable for search engines and to encourage visitors to register and use the portal themselves.
We offer you the creation and operation of such a landing page according to your wishes and design specifications based on WordPress. If you already have a website that is to function as a landing page for your portal, this is also possible (the website does not have to be based on WordPress).
